12/04/25 – Vale Mike Power.
It is with great sadness that the Solander Lake Bowls Club announce the passing of Mike Power early this morning, the 12th of April 2025.
Mike joined the club in January 2010 and was an active bowler and member of the grounds maintenance team. Everyone at the bowls club will very sadly miss Mike.
Our condolences and thoughts are with his family during this sorrowful time.

02/04/25 – Congratulations Brett Sellars.
Congratulations to club member Brett Sellars, who has been selected to represent Australia in the up-and-coming Merlion Cup. Brett will head to Singapore in July, where he will be competing in the Pairs and Fours disciplines.
Brett has also been selected for the ANZAC test series. The Bowls Queensland Presidents XII Team, selected by Bowls QLD President Brian Marshall, will take on the Australian Defence Force in the annual 2025 ANZAC Test Series, to be held at Capalaba Sports Club on May 2nd and 3rd.
